Enter our gardening competition

Get your watering cans, gloves and trowels ready because West Bedlington Town Council’s gardening competition is back for 2026 and we’d love as many residents as possible to enter. 

It’s free to take part and you can enter by filling out the entry form and dropping it off at our office, or by emailing your details over to clerk@westbedlingtontowncouncil.gov.uk before the closing date on 24th July. 

There will be a small prize for first, second and third-place winners. For each garden entered, judges will consider overall design and layout, variety and condition of plants, year-round content, features, edibles, fragrance, use of space and more. It doesn’t matter if you’re an expert gardener or a newbie; have a small garden or a large space – we’re happy to receive entries from any green-fingered residents in West Bedlington. 

Gardens will be judged on Thursday 20th August and there will be an event in November to present prizes. 

We can’t wait to see how colourful, vibrant and beautiful your gardens look. Fingers crossed for lots of sunshine.
